OVHcloud vs GoDaddy for shared web hosting
For shared hosting, OVHcloud costs less outside the US (Personal renews at $7.09 a month against $16.99 for GoDaddy Deluxe), but only GoDaddy sells it to US customers.
Shared hosting is the easiest way to run a small site. You get a control panel and email, and the host manages the server.
The US catch: OVHcloud’s US homepage lists bare metal, VPS, public cloud, and other infrastructure, but no shared web hosting.

OVHcloud offers no money-back guarantee as such. Its order management guide gives individual customers 14 days to cancel a new order.
That refund excludes domains and deducts the service you already used. Business accounts and renewals aren’t covered.

Over three years, that’s $163.44 against $323.64 for GoDaddy’s first term, if OVHcloud’s 12-month price stays the same at each renewal.
At 8 GB, GoDaddy offers more storage but costs about four times as much: $1,259.64 over its 3-year term against $306 at OVHcloud on the same assumption.
OVHcloud doesn’t publish a renewal guarantee on its VPS page.

OVHcloud vs GoDaddy security and DDoS protection
OVHcloud publishes more detail on network security than GoDaddy, with free anti-DDoS on every product and over 17 Tbit/s of filtering capacity.
OVHcloud’s Anti-DDoS page says protection has no extra cost and no traffic limits. It says it can absorb attacks up to 1.3 Tbit/s in size.
OVHcloud also holds SecNumCloud qualification, a French security label, for some private cloud services on its SecNumCloud page. That matters for regulated European buyers, not for a typical small site.
