Our Analysis: The mobile performance needs significant work. A First Contentful Paint (FCP) of 6.5s is extremely slow, meaning users stare at a blank screen for over six seconds before seeing content.

The LCP of 4.3s also fails Google’s Core Web Vitals assessment. While the INP of 194ms technically passes, it is dangerously close to the 200ms failure threshold.

Our Analysis: These results are surprising and excellent. Achieving ~20ms latency in both San Francisco and Singapore simultaneously indicates that DreamHost is utilizing a highly effective global edge network or CDN to serve their corporate site. This ensures that static content is delivered instantly regardless of visitor location.

Peak Traffic Simulation

We didn’t just want to see how the site runs with one visitor; we wanted to see how it handles pressure. We used the K6 Load Cloud framework to simulate a viral traffic event by sending 50 simultaneous virtual users to browse the site.

Our Analysis: The TTFB of 17ms is absolutely elite, proving the raw server and network are incredibly fast. However, the overall Grade C (59%) is dragged down by a high Total Blocking Time of 1.2s.

This indicates that while the server delivers data instantly, the website code itself is heavy with JavaScript that delays the user from interacting with the page.
