Prices change often, so check [DreamPress’ current prices](https://hostingguider.com/recommend/dreamhost) and [Pressable’s current prices](https://hostingguider.com/recommend/pressable) before you buy.

DreamHost’s [terms of service](https://www.dreamhost.com/legal/terms-of-service/?utm_source=hostingguider.com) say plans renew at the then-current, non-promotional rate. For DreamPress 1, that means a 33% jump in year two.

The pattern is common across hosting, and the [truth about renewal pricing](https://hostingguider.com/blog/what-no-one-tells-you-about-hosting-renewal-pricing/) explains how to plan for it.

### DreamPress and Pressable three-year totals

Over three years, DreamPress 1 costs $659.64 and Pressable Signature 1 costs $750, so DreamPress stays cheaper even after its renewal jump.

| 3 | $947.64 | $1,350 |

## How visitor limits work at DreamPress and Pressable

Pressable charges $1.20 per 1,000 visits over its plan limits, while DreamHost says DreamPress has no traffic overages.

Pressable’s plans include a set number of monthly visits, from 30,000 on Signature 1. Extra storage costs $1.00 per GB.

DreamPress plan cards list monthly visitor numbers too, from 40,000 on DreamPress 1. But DreamHost’s [DreamPress FAQ](https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/214581728-DreamPress-FAQs?utm_source=hostingguider.com) says it doesn’t limit visitors or charge traffic overages.

The same FAQ says monthly traffic is determined by the plan. Treat the visitor numbers as a sizing guide, and ask DreamHost about sites that regularly exceed them.

**Winner: DreamPress**, for no stated traffic overages.

## DreamPress and Pressable backups and staging

Pressable backs up your database every hour and keeps backups at least 30 days, while DreamPress backs up daily and keeps 14 or 30 days.

Pressable’s [backup page](https://pressable.com/features/automate/wordpress-daily-backups/?utm_source=hostingguider.com) says it also takes a daily file backup when files have changed.

DreamPress keeps its daily backups for 14 days on DreamPress 1 to 3, and 30 days on DreamPress 5 and up.

Both include staging, a private copy of your site for testing changes. Pressable adds a sandbox environment as well.

[Staging environments](https://hostingguider.com/blog/hosting-with-staging-environments/) matter most when you update plugins on a live store.

**Winner: Pressable**, for hourly database backups and longer retention on small plans.

## Jetpack, email, CDN, and migrations at DreamPress and Pressable

DreamPress includes unlimited mailboxes and Pressable includes Jetpack Security (a $239 yearly value), so each host bundles a different extra.

**Jetpack Security:** included with Pressable Signature plans. DreamPress doesn’t bundle it.

**Email:** DreamPress includes unlimited mailboxes. Pressable’s [email page](https://pressable.com/features/collaborate/wordpress-hosting-with-email/?utm_source=hostingguider.com) offers Titan Professional Email free for 90 days, then $3.50 per inbox a month.

**Caching and CDN:** every DreamPress plan includes DreamHost’s free [Essential CDN](https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/33140104553620-Bunny-CDN-overview?utm_source=hostingguider.com), powered by Bunny. Pressable includes an edge cache and a global CDN.

**Winner: DreamPress** for email, **Pressable** for security extras.

## Can you run WordPress Multisite on DreamPress or Pressable?

Pressable supports WordPress Multisite and DreamPress doesn’t, according to DreamHost’s own DreamPress FAQ.

Pressable’s pricing page calls its plans multisite capable. Its [DreamHost comparison](https://pressable.com/dreamhost-vs-pressable/?utm_source=hostingguider.com) says multisite needs Signature 5 or a high-traffic plan, so confirm which plan you need.

Multisite runs many sites from one WordPress install, which suits schools, franchises, and networks. The trade-offs are covered in the guide to [multisite on managed hosting](https://hostingguider.com/guides/multisite-wordpress-managed-hosting/).

**Winner: Pressable.**

## DreamPress vs Pressable uptime, support, and refunds

DreamPress comes with a 100% uptime guarantee in DreamHost’s terms, while Pressable lists its 100% SLA only under Premium Site plans from $350 a month.

If DreamHost causes downtime, you get one day of hosting credit per hour down, capped at 10% of your next renewal fee.

Pressable’s [SLA](https://pressable.com/legal/sla/?utm_source=hostingguider.com) covers “qualifying plans and contractswithout naming them. Ask Pressable whether your Signature plan qualifies.

Both offer 24/7 support. Pressable lists an average first response of about four minutes.

DreamPress offers 24/7 chat, email, and tickets. DreamPress 5, 10, and 20 each include five scheduled phone calls.

Both offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. DreamHost’s terms exclude domain registrations, SSL certificates, and third-party add-ons from refunds.

**Winner: DreamPress**, for a written uptime guarantee on standard plans and phone calls on larger plans.
